Satan was fighting as he has never fought before and so we knew God had a great victory in store for us. The visas for this trip were turned down in Washington 5 times and at the last minute we sent them to Houston, Texas. Our team members kept packing and praying and just 4 hours before we were to fly to Rio we received our visas.

Our team had 14 members and we divided them into 5 teams. All of them worked in more than one church during the crusade which included a giant Rally Saturday evening July 10. It was raining but people came until the building was filled. God blessed us with 1686 decisions for Jesus Christ on this trip, plus many others that were not accounted for through radio ministries and other means, and now we understand why Satan was fighting so hard.

We went door to door witnessing, witnessed in hospitals, and witnessed in schools, both Religious and Public. We also preached in churches and missions throughout the two cities of Volta Redonda and Barra Mansa.

Here are two pictures of an article about the rally from a Christian magazine in Brazil. At the rally over three-hundred Bibles were given out.

Let us share with you some things that happened during this trip.

"In all of my 59 years in the ministry I have never experienced anything quite like this. It must have been a special unction or anointing of the Holy Spirit on my life that gave me greater power to witness and win people. When I stood up to preach I felt the presence of God so overpowering that for a moment I was transfixed. I could not move and the presence of God was so powerful that I looked around because I knew he was there beside me. I also felt at that moment I had to fall prostrate on my face and confess my sins because I was standing in the presence of God. I still do not understand all that happened but after I preached over 200 people responded to the invitation. All during the week God continued to convict people of their sins and they moved out by the thirties and fifties at every invitation. Only God can do this and all of the glory and honor goes to Him."

"We visited with a mother who was heart broken over her daughter who said to her mother, "I will never go to church so will you shut up about it and leave me alone." This mother asked us to pray for her daughter and we all joined hands and prayed for her. In the meantime, at one of the schools this daughter's son was won to the Lord. He went home and told his mother what had happened and pleaded with her to go to the crusade with him Saturday night. When I gave the invitation at the crusade, this mother came with her daughter who was inviting Jesus into her heart and life. What a sight to see a mother weeping with her arms around her daughter and this son hugging his mother."

Here is another event that shows how God hears and answers prayer.

"A woman who was a member of the local church in Barra Mansa had a husband who would not accept Christ because of the death of their daughter. The church had been witnessing to him for a long time but he had not accepted Christ. We went and talked to the man about the importance of giving his life over to the Lord and he broke down and begged for forgiveness of his sins. The Holy Spirit was working hard on this man's heart. God had a great victory over Satan."

Here is another event that shows how God hears and answers prayer.

"Again we were invited to the home of a lady sick in bed. She was a known spiritualist leader and I had the privilege of leading her to the Lord. She asked us to pray for her daughter who was deeply involved with spiritualism. This is a satanic cult where chickens are sacrificed and voodoo is practiced. Many times they cut themselves as they dance around. We prayed with her for her daughter and gave her a New Testament. That evening her daughter went to the spiritualist meeting and felt out of place as she entered. She said she had to run from that place because she felt it was evil. This lady vowed that she would never go there again. Saturday evening during the crusade she gave her heart and life to Jesus. What a victory for the Angels in heaven were rejoicing over this event."

Here is another event that shows how God hears and answers prayer.

"Again a man that was a member of a mission church in Volta Redonda had recently given his life to the Lord; however, his family was not saved. He said they told him they didn't need Jesus. He asked us to come and talk to his wife and son. His wife seemed to be under conviction but the son did not. We led the man's wife in prayer. After the prayer, both the wife and the son were crying. The boy had prayed the prayer along with his mom and accepted Christ. Again the Holy Spirit had showed 2 hardened people their sin and brought them to a state of repentance."
