Jack is a retired pastor from Georgia who goes on missions all over the world. Jack is especially good with children. He was a great asset to this team on this trip.

Also our interpreter Welington was a blessing on this trip not only did he interpret for us throughout this trip, but he also helped organize this trip. He is teaches English in Barra Mansa and has won several of his students to the Lord. Welington is a great man of God and none of this could have been done without him.

During this trip we were working in Schools and Hospitals and also witnessing in homes and communities.
Witnessing in a community outside Volta Redonda.
Here is perhaps one of the most extraordinary events that happened on this trip, as told by Eugene Herndon.
"I thought that you would enjoy hearing about what happened recently in Volta Redonda , Brazil . We were visiting homes and schools. The folks at the Baptist hospital asked us to witness to the patients in their wards.
After seeing 57 people give their hearts and lives to the Lord, Jack, the Baptist chaplain, asked me to go with him to the intensive care ward. Eight people were in this ward. The first was a man who was in a deep coma. He had been in this condition for over three weeks, and they did not expect him to come out of it. Jack told me to speak to him, hoping that in his subconscious mind he would hear me. I began by telling him that Jesus loved him and that He died for his sins. I shared with him that I would pray for him. I told him that, as I was doing this, if he wanted to invite Jesus into his heart and life, he could do so.
All of a sudden the man's eyes opened, and he was looking me full in the face. Tears were running down his cheeks. When I recovered from the shock, I asked him if he wanted to invite Jesus into his heart and life. By nodding, he indicated that he did. I took his hand and prayed for him. Somewhere, during the close of the prayer, he went back into the deep coma.
I believe God gave that man a chance to invite Jesus into his heart and life. I believe God used me as an instrument in His hands to help this man find Jesus.
During our time in Volta Redonda , we saw over 200 people receive Christ as their Lord and Savior. If no one else had needed a miracle, this one sick man did. Our trip to Brazil was worth it all, just to see him awaken from a coma and invite Jesus into his heart. Our God is a God of miracles!"
